Vilya is one of the three Elven Rings forged for the Elven-Kings as is mentioned in the verse of the Ring. It was first given to Gil-galad and later it passed on the Elrond. It is said to be the most powerfull of the Three Elven Rings and that it was made of gold with a great blue stone set upon it. The Ring of Air left Middle-Earth together with Elrond and the other two Elven Rings.
