The Middle-earth Collectible Card Game is based on The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, written by J.R.R. Tolkien; no doubt the most famous fantasy epic of modern times. The card game with its beautifully illustrated cards and its well worked out game mechanics enables you to recreate Tolkien's story lines, but after your own fashion! Will you direct a couple of hobbits to try to throw Sauron's One Ring into Mount Doom? Will you crown Aragorn in Minas Tirith, or take a group of dwarves on a dragon hunt? Or, will you be one of the terrifying Ringwraiths, servants of Sauron the evil one, and roam the lands with orcs and trolls to accomplish your goals? You can do it all!

The purpose of the Council of the Isles of the Dead that Live is to promote contact between players of the Middle-earth CCG in the Netherlands by, among other means, coordinating tournaments and maintaining a list of players and collectors in the Netherlands. A secondary goal is keeping the game alive by general promotional efforts. If you want to organize an event yourself – on Dutch soil -- don't hesitate to ask for the Council's support.
