The Lord of the Rings Fanatics Site has decided to design and issue a Lord of the Rings Fanatics Award for Tolkien related sites. The award is only given to the very, very best sites and we really take our time in judging sites that apply for the award. Note the following before sending your application:

1. This Award is only meant for Tolkien Related Sites and only such sites will be reviewed and perhaps awarded. Tolkien related can be translated in many ways but it generally means that the site should contain more than 70% of Tolkien related content. General Fantasy sites, Literature sites, etc. will not be reviewed or rewarded.
   
   
2. Sites are judged using 5 criteria:
   • Content (max 30 points): the Quality and/or Quantity of content presented on the site.
   • Originality (max 25 points): the originality of both the content and the site as a whole.
   • Look & Feel (max 15 points): the layout, style and overall impression of the site.
   • Ease of Use (max 15 points): the menu structure, browsability and speed of the site.
   • Bonus (max 15 points): bonus points given for special accomplishments or unique features.
   All points added up give the total score with 100 being the highest score obtainable.
   
   
3. All reviewed sites are listed on the award winners page but only sites with a score higher than 75 points are given the Lord of the Rings Fanatics Award as shown on the top of this page.
