This website is a fan site created for and by Tolkien Fanatics. The site started out in May 2001 as a non-commercial site but has added Banners and created the Lord of the Rings Fanatics Shop in October/November 2001 in order to compensate for the ever increasing hosting costs as the site became and becomes larger and more popular.

It was started and is maintained by 1 Fanatic and uses contributions that are given for free by Tolkien fans all over the world. It is not part of any commercial organisation or company. This site does not directly sell products. It does make use of some Affiliate Programs like the one offered by Amazon.com. This site also gives the appropriate links to find online and offline shops that sell Tolkien related material. The general purpose of this site is to provide information and general Tolkien related entertainment to the thousands of Tolkien fans all over the world and of course to attract new fans by informing them of the amazing world that Tolkien has left as his legacy.
